Breathing New Life into the Trudy Farber Building in Ellenville

A renovation and reimagining of the Trudy Resnick Farber (TRF) building in Ellenville, with the goal of transforming it into a central hub of community resources. This project will leverage significant community input into the plan and offerings of the site.

Learn More About Weekly Programs, Services & Offerings

For Families, Women, & Children

Astor Children's Services: Astor’s Counseling Centers provide therapy, psychiatric services, and family advocacy to youth (ages 0-26) and their families using a strengths-based approach. On site: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 AM - 8 PM.

Family Services Behavioral Health: Family Services assures access for all adults to high-quality behavioral health centers in Dutchess and Ulster counties. Their counseling and medical staff help people find their way towards recovery without stigma. On site: Wednesdays, 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM.

Institute for Family Health (IFH): Representatives from IFH offer resources and referrals to their various services, programs, and events. On site: Wednesdays, 9 AM - 11 AM.

Soul 2 Soul Women's Circle: Women’s support group meeting bi-weekly on Thursdays from 6 PM - 7:30 PM. Drop-ins welcome!

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program: WIC offers many benefits, including nutritious food vouchers, health screenings, breastfeeding support, and more. Representatives from WIC will be on site 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, from 9 AM - 3 PM.

Ellenville Regional Hospital (ERH) Wellness Programs:

  • Physical Fitness - Free Fitness Classes. No Registration Required. Fun Interval Training! F.I.T includes uplifting music that motivates you to perform different exercises at different stations around the room. It is based on a program created by Dr.Izumi Tabata to strengthen your heart and circulatory system. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! CURRENTLY NOT IN SESSION. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES.
  • Nutrition Coaching - Meet with our Certified Nutrition Coach for assistance with Nutrition Education, Meal Planning, and Individualized Chronic Disease Nutrition Planning. Office Hours: Thursdays, 10 AM - 12 PM, and by appointment only on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • Wellness Community Health Worker - Learn about Preventive Cancer Screenings, Finding a Primary Care Provider, and Smoking Cessation Support.
  • Substance Use Support Community Health Worker - Get trained to use Narcan, Get Harm Reduction Supplies, and Treatment Information Options. On site: Wednesdays, 1 PM - 3 PM.
  • Call ERH at (845) 647-6400 to schedule an appointment.

MVP Healthcare: Representatives from MVP will be on site Wednesdays from 11:30 AM - 5 PM, to offer support with health insurance navigation and enrollment.

NAMI Mid-Hudson Drop-In & Talk: Looking for Mental Health Resources? A volunteer from NAMI Mid-Hudson will be at the Trudy Center on the second Tuesday of every month, from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM, to provide information, resources, support, and hope for those in need. Chat with a representative about their free educational classes, support groups, and community presentations. NAMI Mid-Hudson is dedicated to building better lives for those living with a mental health condition and their families in Dutchess and Ulster Counties. O.R.A.C.L.E.: Representatives from the County Sheriff's O.R.A.C.L.E program offer support with substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery as well as Narcan training. On site: Wednesdays from 9 AM - 11 AM.

The Ulster County Department of Mental Health (DMH) Office Hours: A representative from the Ulster County Department of Mental Health is now holding office hours at the Trudy Center in Ellenville on the second Tuesday of the month, 2 PM - 5 PM, to provide information regarding the services the department offers, opioid prevention, and more. Free one-on-one Narcan training is also available. Stop by and say hello to the Department of Mental Health staff and learn about Ulster County resources.

For Seniors

Office for the Aging (OFA) Gateway Community Cafés: The Ulster County Office for the Aging (OFA) Senior dining program provides a place where Seniors can visit for group meals, special events, physical activity opportunities, and social engagement. The Office for the Aging's Community Café program offers nutritious, hot meals, and is open to Ulster County Seniors 60 years and older: Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 AM - 1 PM.
