Workshop 4: Preferred Design Survey
We’re excited to share the next step in the design process for the new Community Space at Midtown Linear Park! Based on the ideas, priorities, and feedback gathered through past workshops and surveys, the Project Design Team has developed a preferred design that reflects the community’s shared vision for this new public space.
This concept represents an evolution of the three alternate design strategies shown in August—combining the most supported elements and ideas into a single, unified vision. The layout, programming, and character of the space have been shaped directly by what we heard from the community: a desire for connection, play, gathering, and creativity.
While the preferred design begins to establish the overall organization of the community space and the range of activities it can support, it remains conceptual—and your input at this stage will help fine-tune the design before moving into final development.
Please review the design boards below and share your feedback. You can click on each photo to open a larger view of the board in another tab. Your responses will help us ensure the final design truly reflects the goals, values, and spirit of Midtown Kingston.
